Mom to Mom–  These meetings are held in someone’s home and are a fun way to meet other moms and renew weary hearts.  Past meetings have included guest speakers, curriculum spotlights, how to’s,  devotionals, and always great fellowship and food.  Nursing infants welcome, please leave other children at home.  A snack to share is always appreciated.

Family Nights–  We try to plan family events throughout the year to give dads a chance to meet their children’s friends and forge lasting friendships with other homeschooling families.  Past events include ice cream social, pool night,  chili cook off and hayride.

Field Trips– PCCHE members work together with our Events Coordinator to plan both educational and fun field trips.  Due to our size, we can often get discounts or special programs for the group.  Past field trips include Scarborough Fair, Veldhuizen Cheese Farm, Medieval Times, Roller Skating , Airsoft at D-14, Stock Show,  and Chandor Gardens.

Service Projects– We offer opportunities for families or individuals to reach out to the community.  We are involved with providing/serving meals with Center of Hope each quarter.  Other opportunities include nursing home visitation,  Operation Christmas Child,  canned food drives, sending military care packages, and more.

Christian Co-op– Meets on Mondays and runs two semesters per year.  The co-op offers classes for birth through 19 years, as well as a few mom classes and student teaching opportunities.   Most classes are taught by parent volunteers, but we do offer some outside teachers if we have the room.  The co-op has about 62 families and 116 students…. and is growing.  PCCHE membership is required to participate,  class fees vary based on what is offered.  This is not a drop off program, a parent or guardian must remain on campus in a volunteer position.  All adults on campus must be background checked.  Class offerings are different every semester.  Co-op coordinator is always accepting new classes future semesters.

Private Forum–  PCCHE has a private forum for members only.  This is a place to ask questions, sell curriculum, plan a park day, find a doctor recommendation or a babysitter in your area.  This is our main form of communication and your posts reach all registered members.

Teen Group–  many of the PCCHE teens meet up for movies, 6 Flags, Airsoft,  game days, themed parties, and more.  If you have a teen that would like to be more involved, make sure they let one of the event coordinators know.  Many of the teen events are planned among the teens through text/e-mail and don’t always make it onto the forums if it is a last minute thing.  The teens try to meet up at least once a month.
